Vote For Honor's Cover!!

I need your help. I have three covers for Honor, two very similar covers and one slightly different one. I'm asking you to cast your vote for your favorite. Which one best catches your eye and makes you look again? Which one makes you wonder what the book's about? If you have any thoughts or critiques, please feel free to voice them. I'm asking because I need you.

Cast your vote in a comment below. The red number in the corner of each pic represents the voting number. (Obviously, they won't be part of the final cover.) Clicking the cover will enlarge it in a new tab.

As a special bonus, everyone who votes will be entered to win a copy of Honor once it's released, winner's choice of a paperback or an eBook. It doesn't matter where you tell me which one you vote for, whether it's here or on facebook or Goodreads or Twitter. Private messages (through facebook, Goodreads, or Twitter) or comments here are probably the most reliable way. Just make sure I know your vote and you'll be included in the random drawing.

I'll put a deadline on this of February 19 (three weeks). Votes and suggestions will be carefully recorded from now until that day, when the votes will be tallied. I may or may not reveal the "winning" cover at that time but the winning voter will be announced. Be sure to include an email address with your vote so I can easily contact you if you win.

Thank you very much for your help! Happy reading, writing, and blogging!

I like #2. Your name is more visible and the title is in large print.

#3. It's beautiful.

I like #3. The white catches your eye and it is really pretty.

I think number 2 is the nicest. Although it's hard because I also think number 3 is beautiful! However, I think number 2 looks more classy and less busy.
Sorry, in my last post I forgot to add my contact info. You can contact me through Goodreads: http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/4485962

I actually think your name stands out best on #1. All are beautiful but that one melds the text with the picture the best...

Jaimey! I've missed you. Not your fault. All mine for being wishy washy and not checking all my friends' blogs.

This is a difficult choice. They're all gorgeous. But I'm going to say 3.

I vote for #2. It just seems natural. I love it.

#3

I like #2 and #3! They are both beautiful. However, that doesn't help you. So, I would be more likely to pick up and read/buy #2. Good luck! They are beautiful!

I vote for cover #1. I just prefer the placement of your name and the tagline better in #1 than in #2, and the white on #3 is pretty, but distracting. (But all of them are really fantastic!) :D

I was going to vote for #3, but then I went back and looked at your cover for Deception. If you're trying to brand your covers along with your name, I think #2 would look best on a shelf sitting right next to Deception. They best remind me of each other stylistically.

I'm for the No 1: best compo, calm and beautiful, your name and the titel are brought up naturally, you don't have search for them (the No 3 is an absolute no-no; even the titel is hard to find).

I love them all..... you are so talented! BUT my fave is #3

#2! it just feels right, and the placement of the title, your name, and tagline, is the most logical. at least i think so. :) they are all beautiful, I would definitely want to read it seeing any of the covers--great work!! can't wait to see it in real life and to read what's inside!

I prefer cover #1. I think it has a cleaner look and it shows you exactly what you want to see--the name of the author is easily read and the little statement about the book is placed better too. In number two it's harder to see all the information at a glance and number three is just too busy.

I would choose #2. I like less up by the face of the character. It looks cleaner and naturally brings your eyes over and down to the title. It's a beautiful cover.

They're all great but number 2 is my favorite! I like the way it's laid out better.

I definitely prefer #3. I think you have more visual interest and better contrast between the elements.

Hey! If I keep being stupid and accidently posting too many times, does that mean I'm included in the voting more often?!! Probably not. I certainly don't deserve it!

I'd vote for #2. (The "trim" on #1 looks a bit odd, and I think #3 covers up too much of the girl).

Teresa Thomas Bohannon said...

While they are all lovely, I like # 3. To me the contrast makes it more visually interesting.

I really love #1! It has all that it needs, but the simplicity of it makes it classic. #2 would come in second, but #3 is totally out in my humble opinion.

I may be in the minority, but I absolutely adore cover #1. In the first book cover, your name stands out boldly and beautifully in white. Your name is somewhat lost in the darker font of #2. The tagline "Sometimes falling in love is not enough" works best directly under the title. It's a more natural progression from the book title.

I personally like all the covers and don't think any of them are bad choices per se. But Cover #1 stands out the most and will draw more attention in a book store.

I vote for #2

I like #2 Jamiey. It starts out with the Bold statement "Sometimes falling in love isn't enough." It's written in an easy readable script and is the first wording that jumped out to me on this cover.

Then Honor in the whispy script jumped out after that followed by your name with the stroke that trailed down the H to your J.

It seems to me like the right way to start things. Start with a statement/question and follow it up by an answer. You are talking about falling in love and you are giving them the answer, Honor, your book.

I like #1.

I would vote for cover #2. That is the one that my focus stayed on. It doesn't seem as busy as #3 and everything can easily be seen on it.

I think #1 is best...you don't have to search for the info - it's clear and very lovely!

#3 caught my eye right off. I love the flourishes both on the fabric and across the cover. the white contrasts nicely with the dark background on the right. I look forward to reading it.

I like Number 2. It would be nice to have more contrast with your name on the bottom.

Marsha Ward said...

I like the design elements of #3, but your name gets lost in the background, and the title isn't large enough, so I have to go with #1. That has both the title and your name in large enough type for my taste, and the picture is intriguing.

Melissa Bentley said...

I really like how #3 is eye catching. I also like how #2 is easy to see and read the title and your name.

Abigail-Madison Chase said...

I like#3. It is beautiful.

Jen Knox said...

I really couldn't decide at first... I would say three, but I think for an actual book cover, two is better. I think you should use three for promotions, though, like flyers or postcards, bookmarks, etc... because I love them both.
