Random Book Giveaway (US only, sorry)

I have a ton of books I'll never read for whatever reason. I may have read them already or the storyline just didn't appeal to me or they're duplicates...Whatever the reason, they need a home.

So, here's the deal. If you live in the US (or have a US mailing address), comment on this post and you're entered to win. It's that simple. Follow this blog (or not, but I'd love it if you did), comment, and you're done. How cool is that?

But what is the prize? Obviously, I'm not shipping out a ton of books. That's just not practical. I will, however, send one winner nine (9) random books from my excess collection.

A few random facts about the selection:
  1. None of the writers are bestselling authors. (...that I know of.)
  2. All nine books are romance. (C'mon, did you really expect they wouldn't be?)
  3. Most are traditional Regencies. (I write Regency and buy a LOT of it...)
  4. The oldest book was published in 1979. (The year I was born. How apropos.)
  5. The word Gothic can be applied to more than one. (My other favorite "genre.")
  6. There's a castle, a brooch, a lady's name, a dalliance, a goodbye (or a hello), a cousin, a husband, a gambit, and a proposal.
  7. There's a Bella but she doesn't love a vampire. (...that I know of.)
  8. Almost half boast the word "Zebra" on their covers.
OK, I think that's enough info. Are you intrigued? Then click the little "comment" link so you can tell me that you wanna win. Oh, and tell me which of these reasons tipped the scales. I'm just curious. I'll need your email address as well, to contact you if you win. (Post it this way: "yourname [at] server [dot] com" to evade detection by the spambots.)

The drawing will take place...hmmm...Saturday, I think, October 23. That means you have until Midnight (Eastern time), Friday, October 22, to get your entry in.

Happy reading, writing, and blogging!!

Reason #1. Just because someone isn't a bestseller doesn't mean they suck. I want to win and ship these books overseas to my soldiers. annc999(at)yahoo(dot)com

I am entering because romance is what I love to read best. Even though I don't get to read them as much anymore.

Hi Jaimey,

My first preference is Regency, because I like that the best.

But I like your descriptions of your books, and I'd be happy to win anything of the lot.

Thanks,
Linda

I adore Trad Regencies, and sometimes the old ones have a little something more in them then the newer ones on the shelves.

The word gothic grabbed me. I'm an old gothic aholic. Can't get enough. Did I read that right? Zebra Gothic? That really got my interest. Never have I run across one of those. I'd love to see the cover even if I don't win! I found your site from Gothicked. Your site looks very interesting.

The words gothic and castle got my attention - I've been reading gothics since the days of Mary Stewart and still love a good one.

I scour the Internet for references to books that have the word "zebra" on the cover. No, really.

Maybe not. I do love to read, though. Thanks for the contest!

I'm also very happy that there's a "Belle" and she isn't in love with a vampire!

Sold on that comment! I laughed and laughed but then, your added comments are one of my favorite parts of your writing style when you use them. Not sure I qualify but enter me if you can :-)

I am an author myself and I love to read. I'm always interested in how other authors express themselves especially when it comes to clean romance. Since I read on average 2 to 3 books per week, free is very helpful and it may keep me from going bankrupt.

I would love to win these books. The main reason I want them,(besides the Zebra's obviously) is that they are romances. I read so much the library isn't keeping up with my need for a reading fix. Here's hoping.
